Welcome From the Commandant

Welcome to the University of North Georgia Corps of Cadets! As a proud alumnus who graduated in 1994 and commissioned into the U.S. Army, it is an honor to serve as the Commandant of Cadets.

Since its inception in 1873, the Boar’s Head Brigade has been a crucible for producing exceptional military and civilian leaders. Over 50 General and Flag Officers have emerged from our ranks, demonstrating the caliber of leadership fostered within the Boar’s Head Brigade.

As one of only six Senior Military Colleges in the nation and a designated State Leadership Institution, our cadets are immersed in a 24-hour leadership laboratory. Cadets gain experience in leadership, self-discipline, time management, and organizational structure and graduate with a college degree complemented by valuable, market-relevant skills.

Whether aspiring to commission as a Second Lieutenant or seeking leadership skills applicable to private, government or non-profit roles, we provide a pathway for every cadet.

Remember, the Corps of Cadets isn’t just about uniforms and drills, it is about shaping principled leaders who impact the world!
