About John Ingrisano

John Ingrisano was a beloved member of the University of North Georgia’s English department until his death in 2018. John was beloved by his colleagues, and by numerous students as well. His spirituality and love of life shone through, and he was an inspiring educator, writer, and friend.

John Ingrisano has been a professional business writer, journalist, and writing instructor for 40 years. He published more than two thousand articles and six books on subjects ranging from money management to selling to faith. After years as a business writer, he published a handful of short stories and wrote three novels, the first of which, Captain Jolly’s Do Over, came out in 2015, published by Crimson Cloak Publishing. His second novel, Alicia in Ruins, was released in 2016.

John’s philosophy of life was “If not now, when?” John loved young people and he inspired them to challenge themselves. He would advise students who had never before submitted a writing piece, do it now!
