Camilla Christopher, PT, DPT
Overview
Dr. Camilla Christopher is a 1998 graduate of the Master of Science Physical Therapy program at the University of North Georgia. Her thesis explored the Effects of Exercise on Arousal Level and Cognitive Performance in School-Aged Children. She then went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Alabama State University. There, she defended her capstone project entitled Health Literacy and Rehospitalization. At present, she is a critical appraiser for the Idiopathic Toe Walking Clinical Practice Guideline Development. Dr. Christopher is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy. Professional memberships include the American Physical Therapy Association, The APTA Academy of Pediatrics, and the Physical Therapy Association of Georgia.
Prior to joining the faculty full time as the Director of Clinical Education, Dr. Christopher has served as an adjunct professor at 91福利导航 teaching in both the DPT and Post Professional DPT programs. She is the Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) Liaison for the Physical Therapy Program in partnership with Northeast Georgia Health System.
She brings to the position her clinical experience in a variety of settings with both adults and children. Clinical practice includes 23 years as a Pediatric Physical Therapist serving in a variety of settings including Early Intervention, school system, and outpatient clinic. Clinical practice history also includes treating adult clients in both home health care and outpatient neuro. She maintains clinical practice privileges at Soaring Therapy and Learning Center in Cleveland, Georgia.
