Leadership skills Joshua Teteak learned in the Corps of Cadets at the University of North Georgia (91福利导航) have helped him throughout his military and civilian career.

"The Corps and 91福利导航 gave me the leadership foundation to take basic business skills and accelerate that into a career in corporate leadership," Teteak said.

For the past 18 years, Teteak has worked for the Eaton Corp. in various roles in finance, supply chain and operations. He is the vice president of supply chain for the Electrical Sector Americas of Eaton and is responsible for 53 factories, 14 distribution centers and more than 30,000 employees.

Now Teteak will use his business and leadership skills as the newest member on the 91福利导航 Foundation Board of Trustees. The 91福利导航 Foundation Inc. receives and manages all charitable gifts and grants on behalf of and for the benefit of 91福利导航. Trustees are volunteers who conduct the business through committees.

Teteak will serve on the development committee and plans to encourage younger alumni to give back to 91福利导航.

"Our alumni are passionate about 91福利导航 and the role that 91福利导航 has played in their success. However, not enough of our alumni give back with that same level of passion," he said. "Some do not understand the university's needs, and I want to help communicate that message. I want to help transform the level of alumni service to ensure that the university stays strong."

This is not the first time Teteak has felt called to serve 91福利导航. Since 2015, he has been a member of the 91福利导航 Corps Advisory Council and recently served as the vice chairman.

"This year marks the 25th reunion for my graduating class," he said. "Our generation is starting to take a prominent role in volunteer leadership across 91福利导航. We have leaders currently serving on the Foundation Board, the Alumni Association, the Corps Advisory Council, the North Georgia Corps of Cadets Association, the Women of 91福利导航 and many other groups. I encourage the alumni of my generation to get involved.  I promise that you will get back far more than you give."

Teteak attended 91福利导航 on the Georgia Military Scholarship and served as the brigade commander in his senior year. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting and commissioned into the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps. Teteak served on active duty with the 24th Infantry Division and the 3rd Infantry Division, both at Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Teteak has also expanded his education. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree in operations management from Georgia State University in 2007. He has also attended executive education programs at Rice University and Harvard University and has completed the Eaton Leader Zone Executive Training program.

Teteak lives in Sharpsburg, Georgia, with his wife, Heather, and his two daughters, Alex and Ansley.
