Sierra Campbell named head women's golf coach

Sierra Campbell will become the second head women's golf coach in program history at the University of North Georgia (91福利导航).
91福利导航's Director of Athletics Lindsay Reeves said Campbell will come to 91福利导航 following a highly successful stint as the men's and women's golf assistant at NCAA Division II power Dallas Baptist University (DBU).
"We are extremely excited to welcome Sierra Campbell as the newest member of the Nighthawk Athletics family," Reeves said. "She fits our culture here at 91福利导航 and, as an assistant at DBU, has helped build highly respected NCAA Division II teams. I am looking forward to working with her as our new leader as we continue to build a women's golf program that is nationally successful both on and off the course."

In her two seasons at DBU, she assisted head coach Kenny Trapp in guiding the team to 17 tournament victories, including the NCAA Division II West Region Championship in 2018 and 2019. Respected as a tireless recruiter, Campbell signed or committed four top-150 recruits in the country while helping DBU sustain at top three national ranking for back-to-back years.
This past season, the second-ranked Patriots reached medal match play at the NCAA Division II National Championships in West Palm Beach, Florida, after finishing seventh in stroke play. Campbell helped mentor three Women's Golf Coaches Association All-Americans and guided DBU to 10 tournament titles on the year.

Campbell is from Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and attended Midwestern State University (MSU) in Wichita Falls, Texas. During her time at MSU, she earned Lone Star All-Conference honors in 2015, 2016 and 2017; won the Lone Star Conference Championship in 2015 with her team and individually; and received the Marie Morgan Award as MSU's top female student-athlete in her senior season.
Campbell also coached numerous junior golf camps, women's clinics, after-school golf academies, and Christ Academy golf clinics at Wichita Falls Country Club.
Campbell graduated from Midwestern in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in marketing. She is working on her master's degree in sports management at DBU.
