At a recent workshop in Belize, University of North Georgia (91福利导航) faculty member Dr. Ruben Boling shared some of his insight and experience on how to start a university entrepreneurship program.

Boling, director of 91福利导航's Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation that he started in 2016, addressed a Consortium for Belize Educational Cooperation (COBEC) Café event ahead of COBEC's winter meeting in February.

He was one of two presenters in a session focused on entrepreneurship and tourism. Boling said his talk sought to help people in a country filled with one-person and small family businesses consider how they can expand their operations.

His discussion with teachers and education organizations focused on building companies that contribute higher value and economic development in their local communities.

Boling supplemented his discussion with hands-on activities to enhance the learning experience. He said he received a lot of questions and good feedback.

"It was a great opportunity working with communities that are hungry for growth in their existing businesses and new ventures, and eager to educate their people to accomplish that growth," Boling said.
